Easy Corn Apple Salad

This delicious and easy to make Corn apple salad recipe is one of the new additions to our salad menu. It takes only a few ingredients such as corn off the cob, apple and pear. It is perfect as an appetizer or a summer corn salad. Grab this tasty fresh corn salad for any occasion and share with others.
Corn apple salad ingredients;
Corn off the cub. – It is best to use fresh sweet corn for this recipe. However, if you are in a hurry, you can use canned corn or previously frozen corn.
Red apple. We love to use a Zestar apple for this recipe, due to sweet-tart like the taste and crispy texture.
Bartlett pear. It tastes great in this salad because of its smooth texture and sweet flavors.
Freshly ground black pepper.
How to pick corn by hand? (Choosing the best sweet corn for corn salad recipe)
The easiest way is probably pulling the husk and looking at individual kernels, making sure they look plump, healthy but that may take forever, and I am not sure if your produce employees will appreciate that. You can also check for sticky brown tassels (top of each corn), feel each ear through its husk and choose the one that does not have any holes.
How to boil corn on the cub?
Bring water to boil, remove the husk from the corn, clean and rinse the corn. Cook between 3 to 10 minutes. We love our corn a bit on a crispy side, so we have boiled the corn for about 5 minutes. Take and place the corn in the cold water to stop the cooking process. You want to make sure you do not overcook the corn.
How do you get corn kernels off the cob?
All you need is a sharp knife. Cut the corn kernels off starting at the top going to the bottom. Then use the knife to break them into smaller grains.
Place corn in a bowl. Dice apple and the pear. Add black pepper, mayonnaise and mix all ingredients well.
What a delicious side dish to celebrate the end or the beginning of the summer!
You can serve the corn salad right after its made but we would recommend chilling the salad a bit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

How to make corn apple salad?
Try this delicious and easy to make Corn Apple salad. It is perfect by itself or as a side dish with your dinner. Crunchy sweet taste of zestar apple combined with delicious bartlett pear and fresh corn off the cub make this summer corn salad merely amazing.
- 1 Corn off the cub
- 1 medium Red apple (We used Zestar apple)
- 1 medium Pear
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp White vinegar
- 1 tsp Black pepper Freshly ground
Boil the corn for about 15 minutes, drain and cool it down.
Cut the corn kernels of the cob. Star at the top of the cob and cut it downwards.
Dice apple and pear. Combine all in bowl. Add black pepper, white vinegar and mayonnaise. Mix everything well and let it cool down a bit in the fridge before eating it.
Serve and enjoy!

- Use sweet-tart like apples.
- Do not over boil the corn.
- Serve chilled.
- If you are not ready to consume the salad right after making it, do not mix mayonnaise in right away.
